I am employed by a railroad and was recently hurt at work. A neighbor said that I should get on worker’s compensation. What should I do?

In general, persons employed in the railroad industry are not eligible for worker’s compensation benefits.  Instead, all claims relating to work-related injuries for railroad employees must addressed through a statute called the Federal Employer’s Liability Act, or FELA.
