We were able to reach a settlement on behalf of a boy who suffered a broken arm in an intersection collision. The boy was a passenger in a car driven by his mother when they were struck by another vehicle which ran a stop sign. The driver of that car admitted in his deposition that he had dropped his cell phone and was trying to pick it up off the floor when he ran the stop sign. The boy had to have his arm set while under general anesthesia and then underwent a second procedure to remove embedded glass. Settlement also included a waiver by his mother’s auto insurance carrier of over $20,000.00 in medical payments subrogation claims, meaning that the total value of the settlement exceeded $90,000.00.
