We reached a settlement on behalf of a passenger who suffered multiple fractures when her driver ran a stop sign, resulting in an intersection collision. While the fault for the accident rested primarily on her driver for running the stop sign, we were able to secure a policy limits offer from the driver of the car which did not run the stop sign by presenting evidence that the impact was to the rear quarter panel of the vehicle in which she was rising, showing that had the driver slowed, the accident could have been avoided. The insurers for both drivers paid policy limits. (Cook County)
